BTS surprised everyone at the Oscars 2022 when they made a brief but memorable appearance.

BTS at Oscars 2022: Global Boy Group Reveals Their Favorite Animated Films
On March 27 (local time), BTS members RM, Jungkook, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, V, and Jimin unexpectedly appeared at the 94th Academy Awards through a VCR.
The "Butter" singers gladly shared some of their favorite Pixar and Disney movies, including the Oscar-winning film "Coco" and the live-action movie "Aladdin."

Jimin said that "Coco" is one of his favorites, to which RM added, "It's a real masterpiece. I watched it three times and I cried a lot." Jimin, on the other hand, shared that he didn't cry.
V commented, "Truly, Pixar is unbelievable," while J-Hope remarked, "Overall, I like Disney movies."
The eldest BTS member, Jin, stated, "Disney movies stimulate emotions well."
J-Hope also said that he really likes "Aladdin." RM then added, "Shout-out to Will Smith, 'Aladdin'!"
BTS' quick appearance at Oscars 2022 came after Disney secured multiple awards at the ceremony. In particular, the live-action "Cruella" received the Oscar for Best Costume Design, while "Encanto" earned Best Animated Feature.
BTS's favorite movie "Coco" won two Oscars at the 2018 ceremony, such as Best Original Song for "Remember Me" and Best Animated Feature.

Earlier this month, the seven-member boy group made headlines in the movie world as their concert movie "BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - SEOUL" raked in a worldwide box office gross of $32.6 million from 3,711 cinemas in 71 different theatrical markets in just one day.
This was the first live worldwide cinema broadcast of a concert from South Korea, courtesy of HYBE Labels and Trafalgar Releasing.
In North America, "BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - SEOUL" ranked second in the Saturday box office with a gross of over $6.84 million and a per-screen average of more than $8,500 across 803 movie theaters.

BTS to Fly to Las Vegas Today for Their Grammy Attendance and Las Vegas Concerts
In other news, BTS will head to Las Vegas later today, March 28. They leave Incheon International Airport around 7:40 p.m. KST. After a layover at LAX, they will arrive in Las Vegas on March 29 at approximately 6:30 p.m. KST.
The boy group is scheduled to attend the 64th Grammy Awards on April 3 and will also hold their "PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - Las Vegas" concert for four days at the Allegiant Stadium.

It is expected that only six BTS members will fly to Las Vegas today as J-Hope tested positive for COVID-19 on March 24.
Big Hit Music said that J-Hope is planning to participate in BTS's activities set to take place next month once his at-home treatment is completed. This means fans might still be able to see him at the concerts and perhaps at the Grammy Awards as well.
