YouTuber Who Parodied IVE Wonyoung's 'Two-handed Strawberry Mukbang' Faces Negative Feedback
YouTuber Daera Daera caught fire after he parodied a clip where Wonyoung was seen eating strawberries using both hands.
For context, Wonyoung along with her co-IVE members' dorm life was featured on MBC's entertainment program, "The Manager" on April 9.
Following the broadcast, the "Love Dive" singer drew some hate from viewers after she was seen eating strawberries with both her hands.

According to netters, Wonyoung is "trying too hard" to be cute and acted "unnatural" during the episode. On the flip side, fans defended the young star, emphasizing that Merry Queen strawberries are "too big" and that two hands were needed to support it from falling.
Amid the discussion, Daera took to his TikTok account and posted a clip where he bit a strawberry using two hands and said, "Ah~ I'm full."
After the release of the video, it immediately gained attention from K-pop fans where some netizens expressed their discomfort. They said that Daeradaera mocked and disparaged Jang Wonyoung.

On April 16 then, YouTuber Daera Daera, also known as @daeraa bowed his head after being criticized by K-pop enthusiasts.
YouTuber Daera quoted a now-deleted post from a fan and revealed his explanation over the clip (which is also now deleted).
"Hello, I'm the person involved in (this) video. I am writing to let you know that the video did not mean to mock or disparage Jang Wonyoung at all."
As he denied the accusation, he also said that he is not a hater of Wonyoung. He added that he is rather a big fan of the group to the point that he usually does dance covers for IVE songs.
Despite this, he apologized to Wonyoung and fans, concluding his statement with:
"I think my video made it uncomfortable for Jang Wonyoung or fans. I'll be careful next time."
His statement drew over 2.2k quote tweets, showing the divided reactions from internet users.
There are a few who defended the YouTuber, but most commenters expressed disappointment over him, saying:
"If you're a big fan, why are you filming something like that?"
"I watched the video and it's obvious you are mocking her."
"If it's not mockery, what it is then?"
"I often watched videos and do not take it seriously, but this is disappointing."
"Wow, now you're a big fan cause you do dance covers? lol"
Meanwhile, the group IVE, which includes Jang Wonyoung, is currently active with its new song "LOVE DIVE."
