B.I Comeback 2022: Soloist Launches Global Album Project to Release Several New Music
On April 21 at midnight KST, 131 Label uploaded a new video to its YouTube channel to announce B.I's upcoming return to the K-pop scene this year.
Based on the video, B.I. will have several music releases as part of his 2022 global album project called "LOVE OR LOVED [L.O.L]."
In particular, the male soloist will first drop a pre-release single, followed by two separate mini-albums. The release dates for these are yet to be revealed, but the clip says that the project is "coming soon."

B.I's series of comebacks this 2022 comes after his performance on GRAMMY Global Spin this past January, where he became the first K-pop and Asian artist to take part in the digital performance series that The Recording Academy created to highlight artists across the globe.
At that time, the former iKON member performed the song "Nineteen," which is one of the tracks from his latest studio album "COSMOS."
Meanwhile, B.I's latest comeback took place in November of last year with his album "COSMOS." This is the first half of his second studio album. So, his upcoming EPs might be the other half of it.

B.I's Most Recent Comeback With "COSMOS"
Released on Nov. 11, 2021, "COSMOS" consists of seven songs including the title track of the same name. All songs were written and composed by B.I. himself. The album was preceded by the soloist's first studio album "Waterfall."
B.I said that this album focuses on love and resistance, the feelings that any individual can feel at a young age.

In the first week of its release, B.I's "COSMOS" sold a total of 35,057 copies on the Hanteo Chart. It is worth noting that the album had already surpassed 20,000 sales on just the first day.
In South Korea, B.I's "COSMOS" peaked at No. 5 on the Gaon Album Chart.
As of Dec. 9, 2021, B.I has sold more than 162,000 copies in South Korea alone with "COSMOS" and his previous releases "Love Streaming" and "Waterfall."
He became the male soloist with the seventh-highest sales in 2021. He sold a total of 166,540 copies with all of his solo albums.
Concerning its chart performance, B.I's "COSMOS" debuted at No. 13 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart.

On Korean music charts, the title song debuted at No. 23 on Bugs, while the B-side tracks "NERD" and "LOVER" entered at No. 83 and 88, respectively.
After his comeback with "COSMOS," B.I dropped the track "Buddy Buddy" as a Christmas gift for the fans. It debuted at No. 58 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart.
"Buddy Buddy" also entered iTunes charts in the Philippines, Malaysia, Romania, Thailand, Taiwan, and more.
"Buddy Buddy" is actually the seventh track from B.I's "COSMOS" but was only available on CD.
