7 K-Pop Idols Who Have Degrees Not Related to Music or Film

There are numerous K-Pop idols who have jam-packed schedules, which often leads to them having little to no time to rest or indulge in their hobbies. Because of how busy they can be, some have to put on hold or opt out of completing their education. However, there are still plenty of idols who completed their education and graduated from college.

While most idols usually take on majors related to music, broadcast, and film, there are also several of them who took on a different kind of major! With that, here are seven K-Pop idols who have degrees not related to music or film!

1. BIGBANG G-Dragon - Leisure Sports, Content and Retail Distribution

Back in 2008, BIGBANG's G-Dragon initially enrolled at Kyung Hee University to major in post-modern music. However, he ended up dropping out due to his busy schedule. He later enrolled at Gukje Cyber University and majored in Leisure Sports, to which he earned his degree in 2013. G-Dragon then pursued a master's degree in Content and Retail distribution, graduating from Sejong University in 2016.

2. Jay Park - Business Administration

Before kickstarting his music labels AOMG and H1GHR Music, Jay Park attended Dankook University, where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration.

3. Eric Nam - International Studies minor in Asian Studies

In 2011, Atlanta-born Eric Nam graduated in 2011 from Boston College with a degree in International Studies, minor in Asian Studies. Prior to entering the entertainment industry, Eric Nam was supposed to be a business analyst for Deloitte Consulting.

4. Super Junior Siwon - Physical Education

Super Junior member Siwon graduated from Inha University back in 2012, where he majored in Physical Education. Siwon had graduated from the university alongside fellow Super Junior member, Ryeowook.

5. Super Junior Heechul - English Tourism Translation, Informatics

Back in 2004, Super Junior's Heechul graduated from Sangji Youngseo College with a degree in English Tourism Translation. He later studied at Sangji University to pursue another degree, and graduated in 2009 after majoring in Informatics.

6. CNBLUE Yonghwa - Chinese Studies, Tourism

CNBLUE's Yonghwa holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree. For his bachelor's, Yonghwa took up Chinese Studies at Kyung Hee Cyber University. He later took his post-graduate, where he earned his master's degree in Tourism at the same university.

7. Epik High Tablo - English Literature, Creative Writing
