Golden Child TAG Reportedly in Fatal State at Hospital + Woollim Comments

Golden Child TAG's life is reportedly in danger due to a fatal illness. His agency Woollim Entertainment has since responded to the news.

Is Golden Child TAG in Critical Condition at Hospital? Here's What Woollim Said

On May 18, the Korean media outlet Kukmin Ilbo released an exclusive report stating that Golden Child member TAG had been rushed to the hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit after demonstrating signs of acute liver failure. They added that he needed immediate liver transplant.

Shortly after the news came out, Woollim Entertainment released an official statement through Sports Kyunghyang to clarify the report about TAG's current health status.

The label did confirm that the Golden Child member headed to the hospital that day, but they stressed that he is not in critical condition.

Woollim stated, "TAG is not at all in critical condition right now. However, because his health recently got worse, he went to the hospital this morning and underwent various kinds of tests, and he is currently awaiting results."

Prior to visiting the hospital, TAG was active in participating in Golden Child's activities, from performing at concerts and releasing new albums.

Fans are now wishing Golden Child TAG a speedy recovery.

Golden Child's Recent Activities

In the past months, Golden Child was jam-packed with activities. Their most recent activity is their Japanese comeback on May 11, almost four months since their Japanese debut this past January.

On May 11, the boy group dropped their second Japanese single "Rata-Tat-Tat." But prior to that, they held a two-day showcase at the Maihama Amphitheater in Tokyo, from April 30 to May 1.

Golden Child is yet to make a comeback in South Korea. Their latest return to the K-pop scene is in October of last year when they released the repackaged version of their second studio album "Game Changer," titled "Ddara." This repackaged album features the title track of the same name.

Currently, Golden Child is currently gearing up for their concert tour in the United States, which will take place in late June until mid July. The boys will perform in different cities such as San Jose, Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas, Minneapolis, Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, New York, and Philadelphia.

Their U.S. concert tour comes after their two-day online/offline concert (called "Play") in South Korea on Feb. 5 and 6 at the KBS Arena. This will be the first time since their debut that they will go on a concert tour in the U.S., hence, it will be a meaningful time for both the group and their fans in the country.

Also, on July 10, the 10-member boy group will participate in New York City's Central Park SummerStage Concert Program. They are included in the lineup of performers for the Korea Cultural Concert of NY's Korea Gayoje.

Then, on July 30, Golden Child will head to London to perform at the MK Festival, the very first outdoor K-pop music festival in Europe.
