HYBE Labels Allegedly Has No Plans to Remove Kim Garam from LE SSERAFIM
On May 24, The JoongAng shared an article concerning LE SSERAFIM's current situation amid member Kim Garam's school violence allegations.

In their report, an industry representative stated that HYBE Labels and Source Music has no plans of removing Kim Gram from LE SSERFIM. Additionally, they noted that the label is not considering any plans for the group to continue as five.
This is considered highly problematic, even to the industry representative. They noted that HYBE Labels repeated attitude of not accepting fans' criticism and changing has caused distrust towards the company to grow.

The industry representative noted that fandoms nowadays take school violence, sexual assault, and sexism seriously. Because of that, HYBE Labels' best course of action would be to remove Kim Garam from LE SSERAFIM.
However, internet users have already been suspected the label did not want to remove the idol from the group. While LE SSERAFIM is performing on music shows as five members, they are not posting on social media. People speculated it was because the label wanted to reduce LE SSERAFIM's digital footprint while Kim Garam is on hiatus.

Brief Run-Down on LE SSERAFIM Kim Garam's School Violence Allegations
After Kim Garam was revealed as a member of LE SSERAFIM on April 5, a former schoolmate immediately took to social media and online community forums to accuse her of school violence.

Soon, other classmates accused the idol of being a bully. They accused her of talking to people rudely, bossing people around, and using physical violence. In addition, others claimed she made inappropriate comments, smoked, and drank underage.
Other allegations claim that she insulted other idols, such as IVE and Sakura, who she debuted with. It is alleged that after her debut was confirmed, she tried to clean up her past by apologizing and removing school violence from her record.

Despite the allegations and proof, Kim Garam debuted with LE SSERAFIM on May 2. Then, on May 19, through Daeryun Law, Victim A revealed the results from a school violence committee hearing with Kim Garam as the perpetrator.
HYBE Labels and Source Music defended Kim Garam and announced she was taking a hiatus to "heal her wounded heart." On May 23, it was announced by Daeryun Law that HYBE Labels are in discussion with them for a private settlement.
