IU Publicly Apologizes to SEVENTEEN DK in Latest Broadcast
Recently on May 30, SEVENTEEN members DK, Seungkwan, Woozi, Hoshi, and Dino made a guest appearance on episode 12 of IU's variety talk show program, "IU's Palette," which was shared on IU's official Youtube channel.
During this episode, SEVENTEEN member DK revealed that he had been a fan of IU ever since he was young, and that he had been following IU's social networking sites, such as on Cyworld.
He also shared that he even wanted to become friends with the "Strawberry Moon" singer, and even sent her a friend request on Cyworld.
"When I was in middle school, I was a huge fan of yours. I visited your homepage often and so on. If I asked you to become friends, I thought you would say yes to my request," DK explained.
Hearing this, IU couldn't help but laugh out loud, and DK added while embarrassed, "I was naive. I thought I could be friends with IU. That was my simple thinking, but I didn't get a reply."
DK then revealed that he had almost 40,000 people sending him friend requests, but not receiving IU's made him "a bit upset."

"I was a bit upset. Really funny, right? It makes no sense. It was absurd," DK laughingly said.
IU continued to laugh at the situation, and said that DK was certain they would be friends at the time.
She then takes this time to make a "public apology" to DK for the unfortunate situation in the past.
"[I'll] take this opportunity to say sorry," IU said while making a 90-degree bow, making the SEVENTEEN members laugh and DK flustered.
After her hilarious apology, IU then announces to everyone that, "From now on, SEVENTEEN and I are friends."
Seungkwan then clarified that they are now "closer than cousins," to which IU agreed while laughing.
