A member of MLD Entertainment's new girl group LAPILLUS is set to become one of the youngest K-pop idols to ever debut.

This LAPILLUS Member Is One of the Youngest K-pop Idols to Ever Debut
On June 7 at 6 p.m. KST, an introduction video of LAPILLUS Haeun was uploaded to the group's official YouTube channel.
In the 46-second clip, Haeun introduces herself as the "brightest little girl in LAPILLUS." She added that a typical girl "who likes to eat and chat." But she transforms to "Haeun with lots of Swag" when she hears hip-hop music.

The LAPILLUS member added that she would like to try making her own choreography these days. At the end of the video, she asks K-pop fans to show a lot of attention to Haeun and her group.
While Haeun said in the clip that she's already 15 years old, she's only 13 years old by international reckoning, making her one of the youngest K-pop idols to debut in the music industry. She was born on Nov. 2, 2008, so she is yet to turn 14.
Because of her young age, Haeun is LAPILLUS's youngest member. She is two years younger than the second-youngest member, which is Seowon who was born on Dec. 5, 2006.
The only other K-pop idols who debuted when they were just 13 years old (international age) are BoA and APRIL Jinsol.

Haeun was first revealed as a LAPILLUS member on May 23 at midnight KST, along with Nonaka Shana, whom many fans are familiar with as she was a finalist from Mnet's "Girls Planet 999."
Not much information is known yet about Haeun, apart from her having the zodiac sign Scorpio and being a Korean.
Meanwhile, LAPILLUS is MLD Entertainment's first girl group since debuting MOMOLAND nearly six years ago. The new act will comprise six members, namely Shana, Haeun, Seowon, Yue, Chanty, and Bessie. These girls are set to debut on the 20th of this month.

Formerly known as Duble Kick Company, MLD Entertainment was founded in 2015 as a subsidiary of Duble Kick Entertainment. It is currently home to two idol groups (excluding LAPILLUS) and one duo.
In particular, the company houses the six-member girl group MOMOLAND, the nine-member boy group T1419, and the duo JT&MARCUS.

MOMOLAND originally debuted as a seven-member group in November 2016 with their first EP "Welcome to Momoland." Two new members (Taeha and Daisy) were added to the team in 2017, however, they ultimately left between 2019 and 2020 (along with Yeonwoo). The female act is known for their hits "BBoom BBoom" and "BAAM BAAM."
T1419 is the first boy group to debut under MLD Entertainment. Consisting of Korean and Japanese members, the band debuted in January 2021 with their first single album "Before Sunrise Part. 1." They also made a Japanese debut in March 2022 with the EP "Our Teen: Blue Side."
Meanwhile, JT&MARCUS is composed of former TREI members Kim Jun Tae and Lee Jae Jun. The duo debuted in October 2021 with their first digital single "Dear You."
