From November 2018 to February 2019, MBC aired the survival program "Under Nineteen," which featured a total of 57 trainees competing to make it within the project group's lineup. While the Top 9 trainees of the show were able to debut in the project boy group 1the9, which has since then disbanded, what about the other trainees?
Three years after "Under Nineteen" aired, the trainees have since then focused on their own careers, and some were even able to debut in their own group! With that, here are some of the trainees who have gone to debut in other K-Pop groups, and what they are doing now.
1. Lee Sangmin
After competing on "Under Nineteen" and placing No. 13 on the show, Lee Sangmin went back to becoming a trainee under DSP Media. Two years later, he was able to make his debut through DSP Media's boy group MIRAE in March 2021, under the stage name Khael. He is currently the group's main rapper, lead dancer, sub vocalist, producer, and visual!
2. Choi Yonghun
When he competed on the show, Choi Yonghun placed No. 57 on "Under Nineteen." After being unable to advance within the show, Choi Yonghun joined the label A.CONIC, and later debuted with the group WOW on March 8, 2021 as the main rapper and youngest member, with their debut single "Miss You."
3. Song Byeonghee
Song Byeonghee managed to make it within the top ranks on "Under Nineteen," and placed No. 14 in the final ranking. After two years, Song Byeonghee now promotes under the stage name Bain, after making his debut as the main vocalist and leader dancer of JUST B, who debuted in June 2021.

4. Kim Jungwoo
For Kim Jungwoo, he finished at No. 26 while on "Under Nineteen." After his time on the show, he went back to being a trainee for the next three years. He trained under Happy Face, A Entertainment, and Deep Studio Entertainment, before eventually joining FirstOne Entertainment and debuting under the stage name Vahn with the group NINE.i in March 2022. He is the producer, rapper, and vocalist of the group.
5. Nam Dohyon
Nam Dohyon failed to debut after ranking No. 42 on the show. However, he later competed on "Produce X 101," where he ranked No. 8 and became a member of the project group X1. After X1's unfortunate disbandment in 2019, Nam Dohyon was able to finally make his debut with BAE173 as the main rapper and youngest member in November 2020.
6. Park Siyoung
After placing No. 19 on "Under Nineteen," Park Siyoung returned as a trainee under DSP Media, in which he has been a trainee at since 2018. After two more years of training, he finally made his debut as the main dancer, sub vocalist, and sub rapper of MIRAE in March 2021.
7. Bang Junhyuk
Bang Junhyuk took No. 24 in the final rankings on the show, as he had to leave the show early due to health issues. A year later, Bang Junhyuk debuted under the stage name Win as the center, sub rapper, and youngest member of TOP Media's group MCND in February 2020.

8. Song Jaewon
Song Jaewon placed at No. 32 on "Under Nineteen." He was originally a trainee at DSP Media, until he moved to Yuehua Entertainment. Here, he made his debut under the name Hwarang as the main rapper, main dancer, and the composer of TEMPEST in March 2022.
