KARA Reportedly in Discussions to Make Special Comeback for 15th Debut Anniversary

According to an exclusive report made by JTBC on June 14 KST, the members of the now-disbanded second generation girl group KARA had reportedly gathered together on June 13. The possibility of them reuniting as a group to release new content was discussed in light of their 15th anniversary since their debut.

Based on reports, the potential new content releases would include a digital single. If this pushes through, this would be the first song KARA would release in more than seven years. Their last release was their seventh and final mini album "In Love," released in May 2015.

The exclusive report by JTBC also stated that KARA's former agency DSP Media and its parent company RBW would also be participating in the potential reunion of the girl group.

The KARA members have reportedly agreed that they want to give a gift to their fans, Kamilia, for their 15th debut anniversary, which is also known as Kamilia Day and was back on June 11. Due to this, the members have been steadily holding discussions regarding potential new contents to release.

DSP Media Confirms KARA is in Discussions for Special Activities

According to a music official, as the members are currently signed under different agencies, they have to discuss the potential new contents in great detail. In addition, KARA also wants to hold a one-time event for their fans.

The music official said to JTBC:

"I know that they have been meeting often. The members have discussed it amongst themselves. As each member is in different agencies and the requirements are not the same for each one, they have to hold discussions in great detail. I know that the members have a lot of affection of KARA and want to hold a one-time event for their meaningful 15th anniversary."

Unfortunately, back on June 11, releasing content on Kamilia Day was unsuccessful due to various internal circumstances. However, KARA was still able to share new group photos featuring the five members of KARA for their fans.

In addition, if KARA's reunion and potential comeback by releasing an anniversary single pushes through, the group may coincide with Girls' Generation, who is also preparing to release a new album for their 15th debut anniversary in August.

The two groups are known to be good friends with each other, and have appeared together on several television programs in the past and present.

Meanwhile, DSP Media has confirmed that KARA and the agencies are currently in discussions for special activities to celebrate their anniversary, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
