K-Pop is not only about the awesome artists, addicting songs, and amazing fashion, but also for the countless memorable moments on and off camera! But as there are hundreds of idols active in the industry, we are always treated to interesting situations. In fact, some situations are so questionable, that some might think they are just fans' imaginations!
With that, here are some K-pop moments that sound fake, but are totally real!
1. GOT7 Jackson
We often hear about idols joining their current labels because of their music style, its artists, popularity, and more. But for GOT7's Jackson, he ended up joining JYP Entertainment for a hilarious reason - BIGBANG!
When Jackson was approached by the label to audition to become a trainee, he agreed thinking that BIGBANG was managed by JYP Entertainment. So when he finally passed and joined the label, he was pretty sad to learn that BIGBANG is actually under JYP Entertainment!
2. BLACKPINK Jennie

A rather hilarious situation, BLACKPINK Jennie once lost her nail during a fansigning event back in 2019!
As the four members were busy interacting with fans and signing their albums and photobooks, at one point, Jennie's nail on her picky finger went missing without her realizing it. Although she and Jisoo went to look for it, she ended up not finding it.
One fan later revealed that Jennie's nail actually got stuck in their photobook!
3. NCT Mark
Those who follows Gordon Ramsay knows that the Michelin-rated chef likes to poke fun and give feedback on his followers' cooking. Well, he ended up rating NCT Mark's food!
One fan had shared a photo of her "boyfriend" cooking a rather devastating-looking fried eggs and tagged Gordon Ramsay for feedback. And of course, Mark's cooking skills ended up getting roasted when Gordon Ramsay told the fan to "Get back on Tinder."
4. Red Velvet Joy
One of the moments in K-Pop that definitely didn't sound real but actually is was Red Velvet Joy's pesticide situation.
Joy and Yeri used to share a room together, and as their room wasn't organized, they found a cockroach crawling around. Joy went to a store in Japan and got the most powerful pesticide available, and started spraying everywhere around their room.
However, Joy ended up spraying too much and nearly killed both her and Yeri after they inhaled too much pesticide and experienced difficulty in breathing.
5. BTS Suga
Who said fan fictions are always written by fans? BTS' rapper Suga once admitted during a live broadcast that he used to admire a male singer and a male athlete when he was young. And due to his fascination, he began making up scenarios between his two idols.
Although he didn't explicitly say what the stories were about, it's interesting that he used to write fan fictions!
6. SEVENTEEN Mingyu

When trainees usually audition, they make sure to pick the perfect song and dress to impress. However, SEVENTEEN Mingyu's audition for Pledis Entertainment is quite interesting.
The idol auditioned by singing South Korea's national anthem and dancing to a choreography he learned at church while wearing slippers.
Despite not being as prepared as the others, he ended up passing due to his insane visuals!
7. MONSTA X Shownu
Some of the craziest things really do happen in the United States, and Shownu experienced it firsthand himself!
While he was in New York, Shownu visited the fast food chain Five Guys and ate alone. However, a random drunk man stole and ate his meal right in front of him!
The experience was so weird, that Shownu ended up not eating at Five Guys anymore, and chose to eat at Shake Shack and In-N-Out from now on.
