'Street Woman Fighter' Star Noze Involved in Controversy Over Sponsored Instagram Posts

Former "Street Woman Fighter" contestant Noze has become involved in a controversy over her sponsored Instagram posts. Several small brands stepped up to call out the dancer. Keep on reading to know more.

Noze Accused of Ignoring and Deleting Sponsored Instagram Posts From Small Brands

Following her appearance on the Mnet dance competition program "Street Woman Fighter," Noze became one of the most in-demand dancers for brand sponsorships and endorsements. Her talent fee even rose exponentially.

But recently on July 4, Wikitree reported that smaller brands have reached out to the media outlet to share their experience with the dancer's professionalism as an influencer.

According to Wikitree's exclusive report, Noze had received a payment varying from around ₩30 million KRW to ₩50 million KRW (around $23,100 USD to $38,500 USD) per post. She was contracted for up to three sponsored posts between three and six months.

However, a representative of the smaller brand "A" revealed that Noze did not upload the sponsored posts on the date asked. And when it was, Noze soon deleted the post.

Smaller brand "A," said:

"We had asked Noze to upload the brand [sponsored] post, but she kept on delaying it. It was finally posted months after the requested date following several lengthy messages pleading for her to post it, only for it to be deleted shortly afterward."

Another smaller brand, "B," shared that Noze had deleted all of the sponsored posts on her Instagram and that their sponsored post wasn't uploaded on the correct date either.

Smaller brand "B," said:

"Out sponsored photo is no longer on Noze's social media platforms because she deleted them all. We spent millions per post, but they were not uploaded on the requested date. Noze's representatives said it was due to her personal reasons. It was frustrating as we can't keep waiting."

Smaller brand "C" even said that their seasonal collection was supposed to begin when Noze uploaded their sponsored post. However, Noze only did so after the season was over.

Smaller brand "C," said:

"We planned to launch our season collection with Noze's sponsored post. However, due to Noze's condition, the photos weren't uploaded. The photos were uploaded after the season had ended. We have to plead and beg Noze's representatives throughout the process."

Noze's Agency Responds to Reports Over Dancer's Sponsored Instagram Posts

When contacted regarding the issue, Noze's agency Starting House confirmed that the sponsored posts weren't uploaded on the requested date. However, they stated that because it was uploaded within the agreed-upon time frame, there weren't any issues.

As to the reason behind the posts being deleted, Starting House states that they do not handle Noze's Instagram account. They also refute claims that Noze treats smaller brand differently when making social media posts.

Starting House said:

"It is not true that Noze acts differently depending on the brand's size when making social media post and that she is getting paid ₩30 million KRW to ₩50 million KRW per post. Regarding the schedule of posts, we first confirm the agreed dates and relay that to our artists. She has been updating her social media with the posts within those dates. And the artist discussed deleting the sponsored posts with us before taking them down."

Wikitree also points out that no photos of Noze sponsoring smaller brands currently exist. However, there are months-old photos that involve luxury brands. They also criticized the dancer for negatively affecting the smaller brands' marketing strategies.

Meanwhile, Noze also rose to popularity after making headlines being EXO Kai's backup dancer.
