'Soshi Tam Tam' Episode 5: Girls' Generation's Ramen Cooking Battle & Why Taeyeon 'Gives Up' on Marriage
On August 2, JTBC's "Soshi Tam Tam" Episode 5 aired, featuring Girls' Generation (SNSD) on to their next mission.
During the broadcast, members Taeyeon, Sooyoung, Sunny, and Hyoyeon had a ramen cooking battle with Tiffany, Yoona, Yuri, and Seohyun. The mission is to guess the ramen that their roommate made.
Starting with Taeyeon, she tried to cook the classic basic ramen according to her taste, but she was embarrassed by the situation where she had to add toppings.
Tiffany, her roommate, said
"I think Taeyeon will do the basic."
Sooyoung then added minced garlic and bean sprouts to cure YoonA's hangover, while Sunny made garlic ramen for Yuri who likes garlic.
While the three were busy cooking ramen that suits their roommates' preferences, Hyoyeon complained she thought she knew Seohyun well but she just found out she doesn't have any idea about her.
During the food-tasting, Yuri praised Sunny's Ramen. When it was Tiffany's turn to taste Taeyeon's ramen, she made their leader flustered by saying:
"It didn't hit the water. There are also too many. It was full of drive. Green onions, rice cakes, eggs, and cheese are all in it."
Seohyun tried Taeyeon's ramen and commented:
"I don't want to eat this."
As a response, Taeyeon claimed in frustration:
"I can't get married anymore. I can't get married because of this broadcast. I'm screwed."
As the members continued to try the ramen Tiffany, also drew laughter by swearing in English after eating Hyoyeon's ramen, saying:
"What the ****"
At the end of the segment, YoonA, Yuri, and Seohyun all guessed who made the ramen, and only Tiffany wrote the answer by swapping out Sunny's garlic ramen, which was highly praised, and Taeyeon's, which was criticized.
Taeyeon tried to explain:
"I said I had to put something in the (basic) ramen."
But after tasting the ramen she made, she accepted defeat and said:
"I don't think I'll eat it. I don't think I'll eat it even if I give it to her."
