Red Velvet Yeri Claps Back at Haters— Here's What She Said

After accusations that Yeri is imitating BLACKPINK Jennie, Red Velvet's "maknae on top" claps back at haters through Bubble. Here's what the idol-actress said.

Red Velvet Yeri Indirectly Responds to Malicious Comments

On August 7, TopStarNews released an article featuring Red Velvet Yeri and her savage response to haters throwing malicious comments about her.

In particular, Yeri drew attention from K-pop fans after her message was sent through Bubble, a fan-communicating platform used by SM Entertainment artists.

In her text, Yeri gifted fans a photo of her recent look with bangs. She hinted at her will to keep her current hairstyle despite the effort she would make to take care of it.

As the idol talked about her hair, she flaunted her carefree side and said:

"Right, but honestly, I'll do what I want."

Things were going smoothly, but Yeri suddenly piqued fans' curiosity after sending a message that seems to snip at haters.

"Actually, I feel sorry for them. People who make money by demeaning others like that. So let's focus more on our own lives and live happily in love with each other."

As the messages from fans can only be seen by Yeri, it wasn't clear why she suddenly talked about it. However, there are speculations that this is due to her recent issue of allegedly imitating BLACKPINK Jennie.

YouTuber Claims Yeri Is Imitating BLACKPINK Jennie

A day prior to Yeri's Bubble, infamous YouTuber, Sojang, posted a new video titled, "Red Velvet Yeri, who wants to be BLACKPINK's Jennie. She copied this, too."

The video maliciously accused the "Feel My Rhythm" singer of having "Jennie Disease" as she allegedly continues to imitate the BLACKPINK star by following her makeup, outfit and pose.

The video posted on the YouTube channel, "Taldeok Prison Camp" amassed about 230k views, in just after five days.

As such, people are guessing Yeri was notified about the absurd accusations and indirectly revealed her side against it.

This is not the first time that Sojang was called out by an idol. Earlier in December 2021, BTS V warned about filing a lawsuit against them after spreading rumors about her personal life and defaming him. The male idol vent his anger on Weverse saying:

"Oh? I'll proceed with the complaint. It's going to cost you my snack fund. You're even messing with my family and friends. Bye."

He continued that he's also pushing the lawsuit in behalf of other artists and added:

"I just look at the situation on the surface. Not only us, but all artists hate that kind of person. I may or may not have monitored all the fans and ARMYs, but I will sue on behalf of those who were hurt and couldn't have courage."

Despite this, Sojang has been steadily uploading videos even after the complaint warning.
