Kep1er's 'TROUBLESHOOTER' Achieves 180,000 Sold Album Copies on Hanteo
Kep1er is once again breaking their personal best record for album sales and chart ranks with their latest release!
In particular, the nonet made its comeback in the K-pop scene with its third-mini album, "TROUBLESHOOTER" on October 13, which was unveiled through various music sites.
The album is comprised of five songs, including the title track "We Fresh" and b-sides, "Lion Tamer," "Downtown," "Dreams" and "THE GIRLS (can't turn me down)."
As soon as it was released, Kep1er showed its fandom Kep1ians' purchasing power by breaking own record for album sales.
According to Hanteo Chart on the 14th, the nation's largest album sales aggregation site, "TROUBLESHOOTER" sold more than 167,000 copies on its first day alone. This broke the previous highest record of the group, wherein "DOUBLAST" recorded about 153,000 copies released in June.
As of October 17, Kep1er surpassed 180,000 sold copies, four days after its release.
In the weekly world chart, physical album chart, and certification chart for the 3rd week of October 2022 report dropped by Hanteo on this day, Kep1er entered its "Weekly Physical Record Chart," as No. 2. This is based on the album index, wherein Kep1er earned 190,580.06 points, seating next to Stray Kids.
As for its Weekly World Chart, the team ranked sixth. This chart is released based on global data of K-pop artists such as albums, music sources, certifications, SNS, and media, and has the meaning of a comprehensive chart.
Kep1er's 'We Fresh' MV Reaches 18M YouTube Views
"TROUBLESHOOTER" contains the title track "We Fresh" which depicts the message of hope that anything can be achieved if we face challenges together without fear even if there are difficulties through healthy and bold energy.
Its MV shows the nine members having unique powers assigned to them, completely transforming into "girl heroes."
On October 15, "We Fresh" MV surpassed 10 million views, two days after it was released. On October 17, the MV has 18M views, about four days after it was unveiled and is currently #7 on trending for music.
With this, Kep1er's "We Fresh" became the most viewed MV by a K-pop girl group last week, count starting from October 9 to 15.
Kep1er established popularity on YouTube after its STUDIO CHOOM video for "We Fresh" also earned about 700,000 views, a day after it was dropped.
Kep1er Enters International Charts With 3rd Mini-Album 'TROUBLESHOOTER'
Meanwhile, Wake One and Swing Entertainment said:
"The album's title song 'We Fresh' is at the top of the TOP SONG chart in a total of 12 countries, including Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, on the global music streaming site iTunes."
The group secured its spot inside the Top 100 of Worldwide iTunes Album Chart in rank 74, as of the 16th. Kep1er is also showing its influence in Japan, spending a consecutive 40 weeks on Billboard Japan Artist 100 chart.
