On October 21, 2022, British Summer Time (BST) festival dropped the bomb on their official social media pages that the relentless K-pop girl group, BLACKPINK, will hit the Hyde Park stage on July 2, 2023, for the said event.

This makes BLACKPINK the first K-pop idol group to headline one of the UK's major music festivals. With this, BLACKPINK joins P!nk, Billy Joel, The E Street, and Bruce Springsteen as 2023 confirmed headliners so far.
