NewJeans Danielle's Pre-Debut Clip Singing In A Musical Earns Praises For Her Vocals
On November 20, a number of articles titled "A video of NewJeans Danielle doing a musical in Australia" were posted on various SNS and communities. One fan said:
"I'm proud of our Jihye (Danielle's Korean name)."
In the released video, Danielle is singing while dressed in a uniform. The performance was taken in 2016, when the idol was only 11 years old, during "Star Struck."
This is a New South Wales (NSW) Education annual performing arts extravaganza presented by Newcastle.
In the clip, it showed a snippet of the K-pop idol singing "Naughty" from Matilda, the Musical.
Despite her young age at the time, she boasts a clear, refreshing voice that is much like now, gaining rave reviews from viewers, especially K-pop enthusiasts.
Fans who saw and heard Danielle's pre-debut vocals left comments such as:
- "Your voice is really charming."
- "You sang so well."
- "You were a successful baby."
- "Thank you for debuting in Korea,"
- "I can't wait to see NewJeans comeback."
Aside from her vocals, Danielle was also complimented for her unchanging beauty. Even though the video has a low quality, the "Cookie" singer's features stood out, including her bright eyes, fair skin, and cute nose not to mention her two pigtail ponytails that brought out her youthful charm.
- "She's so pretty."
- "Adorable."
- "It's a nice thing to start this day with Mo Jihye's video."
Meanwhile, Danielle was born in 2005 to an Australian father and a Korean mother. She was born and raised in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia.
Before her debut, she entered the entertainment scene as a child personality, appearing in TV shows such as "Rainbow Kindergarten," "Jesse’s Play Kitchen," "My Heart’s Crayon," and more. She was also a child model and musical actress.
NewJeans To Return With 'OMG'
On the other hand, NewJeans, the group to which Danielle belongs will finally return to the music scene after consecutive hits, "Hype Boy" and "Attention"!
The five-member multinational girl group NewJeans is comprised of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein created by ADOR.
When they debuted, they immediately started a "NewJeans Syndrome" in the second half of 2022 with free music that broke the formula of K-pop and concepts that made use of fresh and natural teenage emotions.
NewJeans debut songs, including "Attention" and "Hype Boy," dominated major music charts upon release and continued to rise at home and abroad, ranking on the U.S. Billboard chart for 15 consecutive weeks.
After three months, the quintet is scheduled to make a comeback with its new single album "OMG" on January 2 next year, and will pre-release its tracks on December 19, raising expectations to continue its sensation at the end of the year.
