In online communities, NewJeans became a hot topic following their encore stage for their latest release "OMG." Amid this, Bunnies (fandom) and K-pop fans debate who's the best singer among the members.

NewJeans Praised For 'OMG' Live Encore Stage on SBS 'Inkigayo

On January 15, NewJeans appeared on the broadcast of SBS's "Inkigayo."

On this day, LE SSERAFIM's "ANTIFRAGILE" along with their songs, "Ditto" and "OMG" were nominated for the top spot in the third week of January.

At the end of the music show, NewJeans dominated and snagged the No. 1 spot with their new release, "OMG."

During their acceptance speech, NewJeans said:

"Thank you to CEO Min Hee Jin, ADOR staff, managers, hair and makeup stylists. Thank you for supporting us, Bunnies (fandom)."

As other artists leave the stage, NewJeans then prepared for the encore stage after winning first place with "OMG." 

In K-pop, encore culture usually serves as a celebratory performance of the artist who won first place, and this is always done live. This is also the crucial moment when idols will be judged as good or bad live singers.

In the past, a lot of 4th-gen idol groups were embroiled in discussions doubting their singing skills due to the result of their encore live.

Thankfully, NewJeans proved they are true "rookie monsters" with members who are "all-rounders" after giving their solid living singing without AR. 

As they are still newbies, the quintet initially felt nervous at the beginning of their performance. But when Hanni started singing with her commendable confident voice, her co-members also regained their stability.

The encore live ended with a relaxing and enjoyable experience, earning praise from K-pop fans.

Who's the Best Singer in NewJeans? Hanni Stands Out During 'OMG' Encore Stage

Aside from the whole performance itself, members Hanni, Minji, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein also received a heated response by performing their parts exactly like the sound source.

But among them, there is a series of praise for Hanni, who was outstanding in both dancing and singing skills.

•   "It's so nice to see Hanni singing confidently."
• "I think Hanni is really good at everything."
• "Everyone takes responsibility for their parts and sings really well, but Hanni stands out in particular. She really has a nice voice and timbre, not to mention that she sings with confidence."

• "I was made aware that people were complaining that Hanni has more lines than other members, but this video explains it all."
• "Hanni's voice is more stable than my mental health. She's even dancing while singing."

Along with her, Hyein's vocals were also acknowledged by fans.

Nevertheless, Bunnies can't select who's the best singer in NewJeans. Instead, they conclude that the group's individual voices stand out in their own ways.
