On March 20, Singles magazine shared a set of interview pieces with former GFRIEND member and top soloist Yuju, who elaborated the meaning behind her release.
Firstly, Yuju was asked about her release "O," which is her first comeback and second mini album. As to why the album is titled that way, Yuju explained that "O" has a double meaning behind the album's idea of "traveling."
With the letter's round shape, Yuju correlated it with road trips and people's emotions circling in a daily basis.
"The album's title "O" has two meanings. First, it suggests that our unique lives are like road vacations, rather than being a reason to board a plane and travel."
"The circular shape of the title of my album, "O," was inspired by the way our emotions flow throughout each of our different travels."
Regarding her reason to officially name the album "O," Yuju detailed that her aim was to stray away from the usually worded albums, and associated it with her return journey on the K-pop scene, hence, "O."
Yuju also shared that a little bit of fun was added. She stated "O" can get the viewer to think that the alphabetical pronunciation can implicate the double meaning of "zero."
