In the app, Sehun expressed his disappointment on how the situation began and escalated. This caught immediate attention for the idol's openness, causing their fandom EXO-Ls to also reinforce Sehun for his stance on the issue.
Sehun stated:
"I am really angry at how this situation started when I first observed it. However, I wanted to tell all of you guys not to misunderstand anything."

The problem began on March 27, when a media outlet reported a photo that contained a supposed K-pop male idol was seen with an alleged girlfriend, who is pregnant. In the photo, it showcased an OB-GYN clinic, which featured an individual who netizens are claiming to be Sehun.
A caption was also written in the photo's middle part, which translated to, "With this man, who is a precious blessing." Seeing this, some netizens took the matter further on a mom café, where they claimed the man in question was believed to be Sehun, due to the person's broad shoulders.

The news quickly went viral, as the photo and rumors started circulating on various online communities.
Furthermore, netizens also found out the alleged girlfriend's Kakao Talk profile indicated signs of pregnancy, because of a rounded-belly character with a heart emoji on top of it.
To fan the flame, netizens commented malicious remarks on the mom café about EXO, Sehun, as well as amplified the issue surrounding the maknae.
They commented:
"I went to the OB-GYN for my preliminary checkup, and I was surprised to see an idol. It was a man. I also think he and his girlfriend had a premarital pregnancy, since he wasn't married."

How Did SM Entertainment Respond?
Considering the rumors, SM Entertainment stepped up to express their standpoint on the matter. The company elaborated that Sehun's pregnancy rumors are nothing but hearsays and are evidently groundless.
On the announcement, SM also decided to investigate the situation. They particularly declared to search for the original poster and those who took part on the rumors' distribution.
"The allegations that were spread online are completely groundless and unsupported evidently."
"Although the posts have now been deleted, we are continuously taking measures by investigating the original poster and those who are spreading the rumors."
