BPM Entertainment Sues 'Mr. A' For Threatening & Recording Soyou-Viviz' Private Conversations

Big Planet Made Entertainment (BPM Entertainment) has announced that they filed a lawsuit against an individual accused of violating the Protection of Communications Secrets Act and making threats against their artists, including Soyou and VIVIZ agency. The entertainment company is determined to protect the honor of their artists and prevent similar cases from happening in the future.

Legal action against the accused individual

On May 1, BPM Entertainment revealed that they had submitted a complaint against an individual, referred to as "A," for violating the Protection of Communications Secrets Act and making threats. The complaint was filed through their legal representative, Kim & Chang Law Firm, at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

Secretly recording private conversations

According to the entertainment company, the accused individual had secretly recorded private conversations of their artists for a considerable period. The recorded files were maliciously edited in a way that could seriously damage the reputation of the artists.

The individual then sent the edited files to the CEO of BPM Entertainment via online messages, clearly aiming to threaten them.

Firm legal response to protect artists and prevent similar cases

BPM Entertainment emphasized that they are taking the case very seriously and are proceeding with a strong legal response to protect their artists' honor and prevent similar acts from affecting their fellow artists in the industry. The company also stated that they would continue to make a rigorous response to ensure that similar cases do not recur in the future.

For any legal matters related to the case, the company has requested inquiries be directed to their legal representative, Kim & Chang Law Firm (Attorneys Kim Sam-beom and Ji Seong-ho).

Artists currently signed under BPM Entertainment include Soyou, VIVIZ, Ha Sung-woon, Huh Gak, Lee Mu-jin, B.I.O, and Ren.
