Despite SM Entertainment's recent explanation regarding SHINee's 15th-anniversary fan meeting venue, fans continue to boycott the event. Ilsan KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2 has been deemed unsuitable by the fans, causing disappointment and anger.
SM Entertainment Responds to Fans' Concerns
In an attempt to address the fans' concerns, SM Entertainment released a statement on May 1st. The agency apologized for the issues and explained the choice of Ilsan KINTEX as the venue. According to SM, the decision was made based on the availability of a location that could accommodate at least 5,000 people on a weekend, considering the members' schedules and fans' availability.

The agency also addressed fans' worries about visibility and communication between SHINee and the audience. They announced plans to use moving carts, install screens, utilize tiers to resolve limited visibility, and offer a Beyond Live (online live broadcast) option.
SHINee World Declares Boycott
SHINee's fandom, known as "SHINee World" or "Shawol," declared a boycott and demanded a change in the fan meeting venue. They also called for a direct apology and feedback from the agency. Fans even held truck protests around SM Entertainment's office in Seongsu-dong, Seoul.
Despite the statement from SM Entertainment, fans remain unsatisfied and continue to demand the suspension of pre-sales, venue changes, and substantial improvement measures.
Fan Club Ticket Pre-sale Opens Amid Controversy
The fan club ticket pre-sale for SHINee's fan meeting opened on May 1st at 8 PM (KST). As this event is the first time SHINee members meet fans after about 4 years and 8 months of hiatus, careful judgment and conflict resolution, as well as consideration of each party's positions, are needed. The upcoming fan meeting will be held at KINTEX on May 27 and will be one of SHINee's first group appearances following Taemin's recent discharge from the military.
