K-Engenes Express Frustration Against HYBE After Seeing ENHYPEN With Girls
In social media platforms and various online communities, Korean Engenes (fandom) expressed their disappointment with ENHYPEN having female dancers onstage in their latest release.
As a result, they held a truck protest in front of HYBE's office building located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, demanding to leave out the female dancers on the group's succeeding stages.

According to an ENHYPEN fan report on May 24, the protest truck phrases contain strong complaints against the agency.
"Belift Lab, which made a fool out of waiting for fans, a company that blocks the singer's path, a company that has no will to improve, and the most senseless label in HYBE."
Fans then continued with their demand:
"Belift Lab, the main culprit why fans keep on leaving the fandom, remove the female dancer pair choreography completely, and make sure that only seven people will be on stage."
K-Engenes Explain Reason for Protest, International Fans Embarrassed
Apparently, Korean fans were angry after seeing the septet's new song "Bite Me" choreography, which contains a pair dance with female backup dancers.
They were disappointed since they'd been waiting for the group's 4th mini-album "DARK BLOOD," released on May 22, for a long time, only to watch the team dancing with girls.
In a fan report, they continued to explain:
"ENHYPEN is a group with an average age of 19.6, has not yet celebrated its third debut anniversary, and there are still underage members so far. It is extremely early for them to digest (such a concept)."
The fandom also considered how will other people perceived the performance that is "beyond" the group's image.
"With an unconventional and unpleasant performance that does not consider the group image at all, unnecessary ridicule and rumors about the members are springing up."
The fandom then wrote their final warning that if the pair choreography will not be corrected by May 25, they will respond with additional group action.
When the hashtag demanding the removal of the pair's choreography spread online, international fans felt secondhand embarrassment, and called Korean Engenes "delusional" for sending a protest truck just because they saw the members dancing with other girls.
Some Korean fans also disagreed with the protesters, and talked about how sending a protest truck is going "too far."
- "Ah, this is too embarrassing."
- "Ah, some of the days I'm too embarrassed to become an Engene. You're actually the one deterring ENHYPEN's growth with this."
- "Ah, what is this? Fck."
- "Do you think ENHYPEN will marry you if you do that? These delusional fans."
- "What's wrong with these fans that take the members like [they're their] boyfriends and complain for ridiculous reasons?"
As of writing, Belift Lab and HYBE are yet to release their official response about the protest.
