TTS, the trio who opened the era for girl group units, will always be iconic!

Comprised of Girls' Generation's "vocal line" Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun, the sub-unit captured the love of K-pop fans around the world with their various hits like "Twinkle," "Holler," and "Dear Santa."

They wrote history by ranking 126th on the U.S. Billboard main album chart, the highest record of a Korean artist at the time.

Unfortunately, in 2017, TTS had an indefinite hiatus after members Seohyun and Tiffany left SM Entertainment.

2. EXO-CBX

Debuting during the glory days of EXO, the sub-unit CBX became a blockbuster trio thanks to their perfect harmony that did not allow an inch of error.

Composed of EXO's main vocalists Chen & Baekhyun and sub-vocals Xiumin, the group dominated the music scene with their tracks "Hey Mama!," "Blooming Day," "Paper Cuts," etc.

However, CBX didn't only establish their name as a vocal trio but as a power unit with visuals, singing skills, dance skills and charisma.

3. Super Junior - K.R.Y

In 2006, K.R.Y was launched composed of Super Junior Kyuhyun, Ryewook, and Yesung, and since then, they rose as one of the most successful trios with over 30 songs and multiple concerts.

When they debuted, K.R.Y was highly praised for the members' top-tier vocals that can be heard in their ballads. Their combined vocals can either be heavenly or heart-piercing!

Ryeowook, who reminds us of spring and summer, Kyuhyun who sounds like autumn, and Yesung's vocals resemble winter — the season K.R.Y. is currently in progress.

4. SEVENTEEN - BSS

Boo-Seok-Soon (BSS) is a trio that was launched by SEVENTEEN in 2018, and they immediately established their strong chemistry and "Avenger-level" skills as members who all have main positions.

BSS (Seungkwan, Dokyeon, and Hoshi) might have their signature cute aura, but their untouched vocals and performance are a massive force.

In February, as soon as BSS released their first comeback song in five years, "Fighting," they showed their strong potential, winning four gold medals from music shows.

5. NCT - DoJaeJung

As the album name suggests, the voices of the three, reminiscent of the top note, middle note, and a base note of perfume, made listeners intoxicated with the scent of DoJaeJung.

Upon release, the trio topped major domestic and international music charts, such as sweeping the top of the iTunes Top Album Chart in 18 countries.
