NewJeans Transform Into Fairies in 'ASAP' MV Teaser – Here's Why Haerin Stands Out

On June 27, NewJeans once again delivered the K-pop scene a refreshing concept, by serving a completely different visual ahead of their comeback!

On this day, the girl group (comprised of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein) took off their veil and unveiled the MV teaser of their b-sidetrack, "ASAP." This will be one of the six songs from their upcoming second mini-album, "Get Up" to be dropped in July.

In the music video teaser uploaded on the HYBE LABELS' official YouTube channel, NewJeans shocked fans as the members transformed into fairies flaunting unconventional hairstyles.

In particular, the video begins with the scene where the members seemed to be finding someone in the deep forest. Soon, the NewJeans members started showcasing their unrivaled visuals wearing fairy outfits in a forest with a mysterious atmosphere.

In the latter part of the MV teaser, the quintet sparked curiosity as their blonde hair turned black while swimming in magical and dreamy water.

The contrasting images of blonde and black hair, as well as the flattering visuals of the members, made fans excited.

While all of the members received rave reviews for their mesmerizing visuals, one member particularly stood out for perfectly digesting the concept — and it was none other than Haerin!

In online communities, Haerin dominated the real-time searches, praising her beauty that resembles a celestial being.

From her blonde hair, makeup, and innocent aura, the idol was lauded for being able to embody any concept and image that the group was doing every comeback. Undoubtedly, netizens agreed.

NewJeans Heralds Return to Music Scene With 2nd Mini-Album 'Get Up'

Meanwhile, NewJeans, the group to which Haerin belongs will finally make a comeback in about six months after its single album, "OMG" released in January.

The group's 2nd mini-album "Get Up" will be released on July 21 and it will be comprised of triple title songs "Super Shy," "ETA," and "Cool With You," and b-sides "New Jeans," "Get Up" and "ASAP."

"Super Shy" and "New Jeans" will be pre-released on July 7th.

Regarding "ASAP," ADOR, the label of NewJeans provided brief background.

"It's a song that comes with cute and popping lyrics based on the Europop sound. It's a track that promises the last aftertaste of the album and the next meeting. The MB for 'ASAP' has a special story with Bunnies."

In the music video teaser, the melody and lyrics of "ASAP" were also slightly released, hinting at the rhythmical synth sound of the song which was doubled by the dreamy atmosphere.
