Kim Taeha in 2009 to 2020: 'Superstar K,' 'Produce 101,' MOMOLAND Debut, Departure From Group
At a young age of 11, Kim Taeha joined the first season of "Superstar K" in 2009 after realizing her dream to become a singer. Unfortunately, she failed to win the competition.
After seven years, then 18-year-old Taeha once again joined a survival competition, intending to debut as a K-pop idol.
In 2016, she joined Mnet's "Produce 101" which created I.O.I, representing Starship Entertainment.

Once again, she failed to win the show, but her hard work didn't go in vain as she was recognized by K-pop fans for her solid singing skills. She also drew more attention after it was revealed that Taeha is the cousin of K-pop icon, JYJ Junsu (Xia).
In 2017, Taeha left Starship and transferred to MLD Entertainment, which just debuted its new girl group, MOMOLAND. In the same year, she was reported to join the group as an additional member, along with Daisy, making it a nine-member group.
As a member of the group, Taeha enjoyed massive popularity as the main vocalist, and created hits, "Bboom Bboom," "BAAM," "BANANA CHACHA" and more.
However, after being with the team for two years, Taeha eventually left, explaining that she wanted to focus more on her solo career.
To show her full-fledged start as a soloist, Taeha opened her YouTube channel, "Taeha Drama," where she uploaded her song covers.
Where Is Taeha in 2023? Ex-MOMOLAND Vocalist Focuses on Soloist, Actress Career
Under her new label, Inter B D Entertainment, Taeha debuted as a soloist and is currently performing actively overseas, such as in Vietnam and Thailand.
She's also lending her voice to sing K-drama OSTs such as "I Know" for the popular KBS2 drama, "Vengeance of the Bride" aired in 2022-2023.
Kim Taeha will also have her big screen debut after being selected as the female lead in the upcoming romance-thriller movie, "The Temperature of Love Is 82°C," set to be aired later in 2023.
Regarding her role, Taeha said:
"I tried to understand the character a lot to play Haneul in the drama. You will be able to enjoy the movie because it combines the love and thriller of men and women."
To expand her solo career globally, Taeha opened her official FANTOO fan club and announced her global fan meeting in July. The soloist will kick off her fan meeting in Thailand on July 5 to be held at The Street in Bangkok.
The global event aims for Taeha to meet her overseas fans.
A company official also said:
"Before Taeha's fan meeting in Thailand, the global fandom platform FANTOO opened its official fan club, 'Kim Taeha's official fan club.' Taeha's fan club can be found on FANTOO's official app club tab. The opening of the official fan club will be created as a space for global fans who love Taeha to communicate."
