In addition to this, they also expressed their honest thoughts about their last album, "MY WORLD," which was released in May.
Regarding the members' respective favorite songs from the EP, Winter selected "Welcome to My World."
"It is a song that can show a new feeling of aespa."
Giselle then added that in order to include it in the album, they really fought hard for it.
In a past interview, NingNing initially revealed that the song was originally for naevis, the AI character loved by K-pop fans since it appeared in their KWANGYA worldview. However, they decided to use it for their album after falling in love with the song.
In a recent interview, NingNing, however, chose "Spicy" as her favorite song, which is the title track of the album.
"We were able to release this song because we wanted to make a change in our style. Thank you all for liking the new aespa. We want to try various styles in the future."
Lastly, Karina chose "Salty & Sweet." When asked for the reason, she explained:
"I don't usually enjoy listening to cyber music, but it became my taste because we interpreted it in aespa's own color. The performance came out really well, too. I think we showed a new aespa because the vibe and stage were combined."
aespa Is Yet To Release Album That They Are 100% Satisfied With
In the same interview, the members also recalled their previous album activities and pointed out that they are yet to release an album that they can be fully proud of.
Giselle conveyed:
"I want to release an album that the members are 100% truly proud of and something that the members really put out all of their efforts."
Winter agreed and continued:
"I've never been 100% satisfied yet. In the future, the members and everyone who helps us have done their best and our goal is to release an album that will make us proud."
Lastly, while referring to Billboard, Karina expressed her desire to transition to being a self-produced team, saying:
"When I look at it as a team, I want to release an album that all the members can participate in."
