Ahead of her schedule in Paris, BLACKPINK Lisa drew attention after she left South Korea alone, without being accompanied by any YG staff or manager. What happened?
BLACKPINK Lisa Proceeds With International Schedule With No YG Staff
Amid discussions regarding BLACKPINK's contract negotiations with YG Entertainment, Lisa drew attention on the 24th after leaving the country alone for her official schedule.
In particular, on September 28-30, Crazy Horse Paris invites Lisa as the first K-pop idol to join five exclusive shows at the famed Crazy Horse Cabaret in Paris.
On September 24, Lisa left for Paris through Incheon International Airport ahead of the shows quietly. She didn't inform the media or fans.
What was shocking, however, was that she departed from the country alone, without being accompanied by YG staff, manager, or bodyguards.
Upon arriving in Paris, that was the only time Lisa had bodyguards to accompany her arrival.
Lisa Leaves Korea Alone — What Does it Mean?
As mentioned, BLACKPINK is still in discussion with YG Entertainment regarding the renewal of their contracts; thus, numerous reports and rumors are pouring in.
In this situation, various speculations have been raised by fans about Lisa leaving the country alone without staff and managers.
According to fans, especially BLINKs, this is a huge hint that could possibly be a subtle confirmation that Lisa truly left YG already.
Earlier, the speculations that she would not renew drew more attention after she posted her photos with the caption, "You are not invited."
On top of this, she was also spotted along with BLACKPINK Rosé inside an unfamiliar building. Curiosity aroses if they are already looking for their new nest.
Some of the "clues" that fans also pointed out were Lisa wearing other brands during her schedule, the delayed update from fans as well and the lack of update from YG about Lisa's Crazy Horse in Paris performances.
Meanwhile, regarding the other members, a media outlet reported that Jennie and Jisoo plan to establish a one-man agency and are discussing BLACKPINK activities with YG Entertainment.
On the 25th, YG the agency declined to comment again, saying:
"Nothing has been confirmed and we are discussing it."
BLACKPINK has been with YG for seven years and this 2023. They caused a ruckus after reports claimed that the contract renewal between the artist and agency is not going as smoothly as expected.
Attention is focused on whether the quartet, which is leading the global craze of K-pop and writing history, will continue its relationship with YG Entertainment.
YG Entertainment has continued to offer no definite answer.
