On Instagram, THIS rookie girl group's member pleaded with fans to buy all of their 100 pre-order album copies — and the result will make you believe the power of K-pop fandom communities!
Girl's World Ara Begs Fans to Buy Albums, Confesses It Might Be Their Last Release
Earlier in September, a four-member girl group called Girl's World initially announced their October comeback with its second single album, "Fly High (Thumbelina)."
As the group debuted under a small agency called Liz Entertainment, their albums are only being sold directly from the company's website, as they couldn't shoulder the cost of distributing them to retail stores. The quartet also rarely gets promoted on music shows.

As a result, member Ara, a 03-born main rapper of the group took to her personal Instagram to promote their upcoming album and deliberately begged her fans to buy the 100 copies they prepared for pre-orders.
She wrote:
“I told the director with confidence that we would have enough pre-orders for 100 copies. It's for 20k won (about $15), can everyone work an extra two hours and purchase our album? Please help us, I've bet on that album with those 100 copies."
For the price, she also promised to send it with her sign and attached the pre-order link to her post.
She continued to reveal that it might be their last comeback if they fail to do well and stated that no fan meeting will happen if they can't gather 50 to 100 people.
Girl's World Returns With 'Fly High (Thumbelina)' — Here's Shocking Result!
On October 2, the quartet officially returned to the music scene with its second single album, "Fly High (Thumbelina)."
While the group was only expecting 100 pre-order albums, they even surpassed this after the release!
On Instagram, LIZ Entertainment apologized to fans after their website crashed due to the number of concurrent users who visited their homepage and it exceeded the traffic the website can handle.
Due to popular demand, the company also opened a link for international fans from all over the world who want to order the album.
Currently, the members are experiencing increasing popularity, and new fans are urging the agency to get them to promote in music broadcasts now for a greater chance of being known among K-pop supporters.
Apparently, when Ara's post gained attention in online communities, K-pop fandoms sympathized with the idol, who was simply working hard although they didn't get the same support as their peers are getting from bigger agencies.
Fans gathered to show support to the group, and they eventually fell in love with the girls due to their vocals, visuals and songs that reminded them of the original pure and innocent K-pop concept.
Meanwhile, Girl's World initially drew attention from fans for allegedly plagiarizing aespa & Red Velvet after the members' stage names were revealed to be Windy, Kyrin, Ara and Hari. According to fans, Kyrin is like the combination of Karina and Irene, while Windy is the amalgamation of Winter and Wendy.
Their team name also resembles Girl's Generation, leading to accusations that they are using SM artists for noise marketing.
