On November 27, BLACKPINK's "little sister" group BABYMONSTER officially made their debut with the single "BATTER UP," and released it simultaneously with its official music video.

Upon release, there were divided opinions that their debut track was lacking compared to their seniors BLACKPINK and 2NE1, but the sextet proved otherwise by making a new K-pop record!

On November 28, YG Entertainment said that BAEMON's "BATTER UP" MV surpassed 22.59 million YouTube views, a day after release.

As a result, the girl group recorded the most viewed debut MV in 24 hours in K-pop's history, breaking aespa's three-year reign with their debut track "Black Mamba," which exceeded 21.42 million views a day after its release.

Girl groups from "BIG 3" agencies made it to Top 3. NMIXX's "O.O" from JYP Entertainment ranks 3rd after amassing 19.79 million views after only 24 hours.

Aside from the aforementioned record, BABYMONSTER also boasted impact on YouTube by exceeding 12 million views in just half a day after release, and it went straight to the top of YouTube's popular videos.

Even before their debut, they showed a crazy presence on the most-used search engine by boasting over. 3.5 YouTube subscribers and 500 million cumulative views.

According to K-media, this was due to the solid ties that they have built with music fans around the world early on with high-quality covers and reality shows about their debut process.

On top of their fame on YouTube, they are also drawing attention with their entries in both local and foreign music charts.

BABYMONSTER topped the MV charts of the largest music streaming sites in the country, including Line Music in Japan and QQ Music in China.

The song then showed a steady upward graph on iTunes, such as topping the song chart in 21 cumulative countries and settling in the top five of the Worldwide Charts.

In addition, even though BAEMON is still a rookie who has just debuted, they entered the US and UK song charts, which are called the world's two largest music markets.
