BABYMONSTER is set to release a new song in February. Ahead of their comeback, YG's founder Yang Hyun Suk gave an update regarding member Ahyeon's return.
Following their debut in November, YG's rookie girl group BABYMONSTER, also known as BAEMON, will unveil a new song, "Stuck In the Middle," on February 1.
Amid this, the curiosity of whether Ahyeon would join the comeback arose, leading the current Chief Producer Yang Hyun Suk personally address this.
BABYMONSTER Announces New Song in February
On January 1, YG Entertainment's founder and current Chief Producer Yang Hyun Suk, welcomed 2024 with great news for the supporters of the girl group, BABYMONSTER.
On YouTube, a video titled, "BABYMONSTERS NEXT PHASE | YG Announcement," was uploaded, the leader's first appearance after seven months.
In the video, Yang was asked about the girl group's future activities and he revealed spoilers hinting that the new song, "Stuck In the Middle," will be released on Feb. 1.

About the song, he said:
"This song is not a hip-hop track and it's so fresh to me that I wonder if YG has ever released a song like this. It feels fresh to me too.
If I were to share my personal opinion about it, whenever I listen to this song, I close my eyes and it feels like being in a state of zero gravity in outer space."
He continued to praise the members, saying:
"The skills and unique colors of the members' vocals make me want to focus on even the smallest breath and it makes me focus intensely when listening. I think it's a song that can be described as 'beautiful'."
Furthermore, the group's chief producer also revealed that BABYMONSTER will unveil a mini-album around April 1 and present a new song.
Will Ahyeon Join BABYMONSTER's February Comeback? Yang Shares Update on Idol
In light of BAEMON's upcoming return in February, plenty of fans focus on member Ahyeon's return to the group.
About this, Yang replied:
"Ahyeon had to stop training for a few months due to health reasons. As BABYMONSTER's debut had to be pushed beyond this year (2023), they had to debut on November 27th as six members.
It's still uncertain when Ahyeon will join, so I will inform you publicly in due course."
Hearing this, fans partially claimed that Ahyeon will also not be able to join the group's new release in February. Despite this, people are also happy that Yang confirmed that she is still a member of BABYMONSTER and it's not a departure.
In November, ahead of the group's debut, YG initially stated that Ahyeon would leave BAEMON for personal reasons. After the backlash, the company clarified that she will only delay her debut in the group due to health reasons but she will be back after recovery.
