Why Did Lee Young Ji Apologize For Posting Messages From SEVENTEEN DK?
Prior to the apology, Lee Young Ji shared a New Year message from DK. His message reads,
"Youngji-yah, happy new year! This year, you worked so hard ~ it must have been a special year for you. I will always support you. I hope you fly higher in 2023. Please take care of your health and eat well!"
In her screenshot, Lee Youngji replied with, "Ah, sunbae-nim!"

While international fans criticized the rapper, Korean internet users did not see the reason for the backlash. People wondered why she was apologizing and even claimed they found the interaction cute. Many believed people were upset she was close friends with a male idol.
Some comments read,
- "I don't understand what she did wrong. Why is she apologizing?"
- "Huh? But I found it cute..."
- "What? I'm a Carat and I found it so cute. Young Ji did not do anything wrong."
- "I feel like some people were just pissed because she is talking to a male idol."
