Kyuhyun has revealed his true feelings towards SM Entertainment due to one of its unexpected actions which many deemed as petty.

Here's what happened.

Super Junior Kyuhyun Disappointed at SM Entertainment for Charging Him on Parking Fees, ELFs Call Out Agency for Being 'Petty'

Earlier on January 20, netizens and E.L.Fs gathered in an online community titled, "Kyuhyun went to SM, but received a parking fee."

The discussion centered around the exchange that transpired in the newest episode of JTBC's popular variety show "Knowing Bros."

The author uploaded a Tweet featuring the legendary vocalist, who seemingly voiced out his disappointment at SM Entertainment for charging him with parking fees.

According to the idol, he visited his former longtime agency to practice for Super Junior promotions.

However, the agency advised him to pay for his parking. Regular cast member and fellow SuJu bandmate Kim Heechul then explained that the management implemented that rule on Kyuhyun since he's no longer affiliated with the agency, ever since his departure in July 2023.

Read their conversation below:

Kyuhyun: "Wait, but I really want to talk about this. I went to practice for the promotions in Super Junior. But when I visited SM Entertainment, they told me that I have to pay for the parking."

Heechul: "What? Is it because you're no longer signed under SM Entertainment?"

Kyuhyun: "But I still am a part of Super Junior, which is still connected to SM Entertainment."

Seeing this reveal, fans expressed their annoyance over the agency. They conveyed how "petty" it was for SM to charge Kyuhyun for parking fees and stated that while the singer isn't signed with the agency anymore, he still has ties with an SM-managed group.

Netizens also relayed how most companies would not charge parking fees if the visits were for business purposes. Some showed curiosity over the idol's vehicle registration under SM, while others defended the gesture since Kyuhyun, is in fact, no longer with SM on paper.

Read their comments below:

  • "If guests, even those who aren't in the company, are visiting for business purposes, it's common not to charge them for parking."
  • "Why are some people defending SM for this? If it's for business visits, most companies wouldn't charge for parking fees."
  • "Didn't his car get registered as an artist vehicle or what?"
  • "How petty could SM get? Many companies offer free parking, even for outsiders if it's for business."
  • "But it does make sense if you look at it. Kyuhyun isn't signed under SM anymore, which means he's someone who doesn't work there."
  • "No, but he is still involved with Super Junior, which SM manages, so he's still connected."
