The video unfolds the story of IU and BTS V, a couple who appeared in the wilderness covered in wounds, running away from an unidentified "cube" object.

As they ran towards nowhere, they reached a building where no human warmth was felt, seeing only numerous "piles of old clothes."

As they tried to look for traces of other humans, V found a camcorder in a restaurant plastered with dust and spider webs.

Through the camcorder, they could live as if nothing happened despite their reality, only showing ordinary and bright daily life. They could also look neat and healthy, as well as eat tasty food.

Soon after, IU wore a wedding dress and V wore a suit and took a so-called "wedding four-cut" shoot, like a pair of newlyweds.

The MV featured many love spirit of the couple, which highlights their appearance as if they were in a romantic movie.

Happiness, however, was ruined when the "cube" they were initially running away from found them, and when a bright red light struck them, they ended up joining the "pile of clothes" they saw from the closed building.

Based on the MV and initial teaser of IU, the main message of the song is: "Even in a world without hope, love won everything in the end."

On the same day, EDAM Entertainment and Director Um Tae Hwa also released a guide explaining the MV and gave 4 Key points.

First, the "cube" signified the discrimination and oppression that are prevalent in the daily lives of the main characters.

Second, the "camcorder" represents the "lens of love," an important "device" that allows us to look at the beautiful things in the world beyond the internal or external appearance of the characters.

Third, IU and BTS V became the main characters in a "survival story of a dystopian worldview of someone who cannot speak and sees the world only through his left eye." Despite the difficulty, feeling hurt and exhausted, they relied on each other despite "cube" and tried to overcome it in the end.

Fourth and last, the "wedding dress and tuxedo" symbolize the "fruit of love."

At the end where their clothes are seen rising in the air, it depicts that they are finally "free to fly away from all kinds of oppression and pressure."

Here Are K-pop Fans' Theories on IU's 'Love Wins All' Featuring BTS V

Also, the "pile of clothes" is claimed to be dedicated to people who are "no longer in the earth."

The "special guest," which is the "cube," also drew laughter from ARMYs (BTS fandom) as they found its resemblance to Suga's sugar cube in "Suchwita."

Lastly, fans are claiming that the "cube" is actually not a "villain" but something that frees people from oppression and discrimination.
