In January 2024, these are the 30 most popular and influential K-pop idols based on their individual brand reputation points.
The analysis of the idol brand reputation and rankings is conducted by the Korea Business Research Institute through the brand reputation index.
From 69,871,562 individual brand big data of 1,720 idols from Dec. 25, 2023, to Jan. 25, 2024, they extract these data to measure the individual brand reputation of K-pop idols based on media interest, consumers' interest, communication and community index.
BLACKPINK Jennie Ranks No. 1 in Top 30 K-pop Idols for January 2024
Based on the rankings, Jennie sat as No. 1 with a brand reputation index of 3,630,892.
Compared to her December 2023 points, it significantly decreased by 9.93% from 4,031,041, but this is truly impressive despite the female idol's absence from broadcasting or music activities.
Koo Chang Hwan, the director of the Korea Business Research Institute stated that her top links were related to "appearance," "stand-alone," and "being unrivaled' while keywords related to her include "Odd Atelier," "Advertising Model," and "Apartment 404. Her positive rate analysis of her big data was 91.20 percent.
The reason why it is such a big deal to top this ranking is because this index created through brand big data analysis is a huge determinant of popularity and influence, based on online consumer habits and brand consumption.
This also determines whether the idols are being evaluated positively or negatively.
