IU Releases 'Love Wins All' Music Video Featuring BTS's V

On January 24, 2024, IU released the music video for her much-anticipated single, "Love Wins All," starring her and BTS member V.

The plot of the music video features a desperate couple running from a mysterious danger. In the music video, IU plays someone who is deaf and mute, while V's character has a cataract in his eye that leaves him almost blind. As they attempt to escape danger, they discover a camera that shows them what their lives would look like without the danger chasing them down.

As they are able to take shelter in an abandoned shopping mall, IU and V stumble upon wedding outfits on two mannequins. Though frayed and burned in some areas, the two don the outfits. Despite the impending doom, the two pretend to live a happy, married life with the help of the camera.

The emotionally cathartic music video has left many fans emotional and in tears. IU and V's acting was praised by fans and casual listeners alike.

IU & BTS's V 'Love Wins All' MV Compared to an Animated Film

Following the release of the music video, several fans noticed that the pair's wedding look bore an uncanny resemblance to the main characters of the 2005 animated musical fantasy film "Corpse Bride."

Though IU's dress looks normal when looked through the camera, it is actually dirty, burned, and destroyed in some areas. It is highly reminiscent of Emily's wedding dress in the film.

With V donning a tuxedo, many claimed he looked like Victor (played by Johnny Depp), the leading man in the film.

Following the release of the video, many fans joked that they wished to see a live-action version of the film, with IU and Va as the leads.
