BLACKPINK's Rosé has achieved a historic milestone with her hit single "APT," tying PSY's "Gangnam Style" as the longest-running Top 10 K-pop soloist track on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song, which was a collaboration with Bruno Mars, has spent 12 consecutive weeks in the chart's Top 10, securing the No. 6 spot in its latest ranking on the Hot 100.

"APT," released as the lead single from Rosé's debut solo album Rosie, has been a global sensation since its October 2024 debut. The track initially entered the Hot 100 at No. 8, marking the highest debut for a female K-pop soloist. It later climbed to No. 5, setting a new record for the highest position achieved by a K-pop female artist on the chart.

The song's sustained success on the Hot 100 has also made it the fifth-longest-charting K-pop song in the chart's history, surpassing BTS's "Butter." Additionally, "APT" has now spent 21 weeks on the Hot 100, becoming the longest-running song by a K-pop female soloist, surpassing Jennie's "One of the Girls" (20 weeks).

Beyond the Hot 100, "APT" continues to dominate global charts. It has spent 21 weeks on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, holding the No. 2 spot in its latest rankings. The track also broke Mariah Carey's record by maintaining the No. 1 position on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for 15 consecutive weeks, surpassing Carey's 14-week run with "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

Rosé's achievements with "APT" extend to other platforms as well. The song made her the first K-pop artist to reach No. 1 on Apple Music's Top 100 Global Chart, a feat confirmed by Guinness World Records.

Rosé's collaboration with Bruno Mars on "APT" began with a simple text message from Mars expressing interest in working together. Rosé sent three song pitches, including "APT," which was inspired by a Korean drinking game she often played with friends. Mars was intrigued by the concept and chose it for their collaboration.
