New Meme Featuring aespa Karina Causes Idol to Go Viral in Japan

Recently, Swiss luxury jewelry brand Chopard shared several photos featuring the members of aespa. One of the photos shows leader and visual Karina leaning on a beige and round object.

The object cannot be identified, causing many to wonder what the idol is leaning on. Amid speculation, a fan decided to make a wild guess and posted a meme featuring Karina on January 31, 2024.

The fan in question edited the bald head of popular Japanese comedian Kotoge Eiji into the photo of Karina. Hilariously, his bald head perfectly matches the round object Karina is leaning on!

The meme the fan created, which was posted on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), has since gone viral. As of the time of writing, the tweet has 6.4 million views, 169,000+ likes, 26,000+ retweets, and 282 replies.

Another Japanese fan even shared their take on the hilarious meme!

Others took to the replies to say they can now no longer "unsee" the image of Karina leaning on Kotoge Eiji's bald head.
