BB Girls Yujeong Reveals Her Photos Are Used for NSFW Deepfake + Reveals Honest Feelings
However, what caught people's attention was Yujeong's revelation on deepfakes. For reference, deepfakes are manipulated videos or images created using artificial intelligence (AI), often swapping faces or altering content to depict individuals saying or doing things they never actually did.
Deepfakes are, sadly, often used to create pornographic materials about celebrities. Though they have never been filmed doing such acts, some might believe they have due to the spread of deepfake material.
Yoojung revealed that she discovered she was a victim of deepfake crimes, saying, "I found out through a friend's tip-off that my photo was being used for deepfake. I felt horrible after finding out."
She then expressed her desire to take legal action, saying, "I think anyone, regardless of gender, can suffer enough from this situation. I wonder if there's a possibility for legal punishment."
The idol continued to ask questions about the matter, asking, "Are there any methods to verify the authenticity of deepfakes used in crimes?"
