FENDI Director Garners Backlash for Allegedly 'Harassing' IVE An Yujin
On February 21, 2024, IVE member An Yujin attended the FENDI Fall/Winter 2024 Fashion Show in Milan, Italy. She graced the fashion show as one of the brand's ambassadors.
That same day, videos of An Yujin posted with FENDI's creative director, Kim Jones, started circulating online. In particular, the video garnered much attention on X (formerly Twitter).
In the video, the FENDI director is seen with his hands around An Yujin's hips, bringing her close to his body. When they are done with their photo taking session, he is seen sliding his arms back, remaining in contact with her body as he does so.

The video garnered attention, with people expressing their anger over the director's actions. User @bIackvIvet on X reposted the video with the words "He needs to move that f*cking hand."
Their tweet has been viewed over 1.6 million times as of writing, with comments and reposts backing up their statement. Many are telling Kim Jones to back up, and nothing says that his hand was too low on her body and they were too close to each other's bodies.
People believe men should practice "manner hands," or hove their hands over a woman's body, if they do not know each other well.
Korean netizens also expressed dissatisfaction over the interaction. People are claiming the interaction is creepy, and that his hand should be on her waist rather than her hip. They questioned the FENDI director's motives and wondered what his intentions were.
Some comments read,
- "Is he crazy? He is basically harassing Yujin..."
- "Even if he is a foreigner, this is inexcusable. Shouldn't his hand be at her waist?"
- "He could have held her shoulders or did the hover hand. There were a million other options, but he chose the creepiest one."
- "Men need to practice manner hands again."
