Lee Chaeyeon Reveals Disastrous Drunk Incident & How THIS Idol Helped Her

Former IZ*ONE member Lee Chaeyeon revealed a horrible accident that happened while she was drunk—she burned her hair!

On February 21, 2024, a video titled Emergency! Sulzzi is drunk! When light drinker meets BFF (w/ HYEWON)| Inssadong Sulzzi ep.6" was posted on the YouTube channel "Studio Welcome" (literal translation).

On this day, Lee Chaeyeon reunited with former IZ*ONE member Kang Hyewon. There, they chatted over some drinks.

That day, Kang Hye Won asked Lee Chaeyeon, "Have you ever been really drunk?"

Lee Chaeyeon replied, "I have been really drunk before. Actually, something happened recently."

The "KNOCK" songstress then revealed the details of the disturbing incident, saying, "My hair caught on fire from the candle on the table, and the ends of my hair were burnt. I was with Red Velvet's Seulgi unnie at the time."

She then revealed that Seulgi did not hesitate to help her, stating, "She helped put out the fire with her hands."

Kang Hyewon expressed her shock, exclaiming, "Putting out the fire with your hands is amazing."

Lee Chaeyeon expressed her gratitude, saying, "So I felt a bit of warmth from the fire and also felt the warmth of unnie's hands."

On September 5, 2023, Lee Chaeyeon released her first single album, "The Move: Street," with the lead single "Let's Dance."

On April 24, it was announced that Chaeyeon would compete on the Mnet reality competition show, "Queendom Puzle." However, it was announced on May 19 that Chaeyeon would be leaving the show prior to the airing of the show. Despite that, she still appeared on the first episode of the show.

On April 12, Chaeyeon released her second mini-album, "Over the Moon," with the lead single, "KNOCK."
