K-Music Critic Claims LE SSERAFIM 'Copied' For Several Songs in 'EASY' Album
On February 19, 2024, LE SSERAFIM made their first comeback of the year with their third mini-album, "EASY." Since then, music critic Lee Seung Won has revealed his thoughts on the album, giving it 2.5 stars out of 5.
One thing that caught people's attention is the fact that several songs off the album sound like other songs, alluding to the fact that the girl group's producers may have plagiarized other artists for this comeback.
First, he notes that "Smart" resembles the main melody and overall color of Doja Cat's hit song "Woman."

Previously, netizens accused LE SSERAFIM of copying Olivia Rodrigo's "bad idea, right?" for their "EASY" trailer. The song would be revealed to be "Good Bones" following the release of their album.
On top of that, he claimed "Swan Song" is highly reminiscent of SZA's "Kill Bill."
This is not the first time LE SSERAFIM has been accused of plagiarism, and Lee Seung Won takes note of that. Previously, "ANTIFRAGILE" was accused of copying Rosalia's "Debut." They also reimagined Isabella Lovestory's reggaeton.
As it appears, LE SSERAFIM consistently takes influence from several Western artists, and they are accused of lacking creativity. It also makes them look complacent, despite the constant concept changes. With that, their comebacks lack a sense of freshness.
