CONFIRMED! aespa Karina & Lee Jae Wook are Dating!
On February 27, 2024, Dispatch released an exclusive report stating Lee Jae Wook and Karina have been in a relationship since January of this year. The A-listers met during Milan Fashion Week. Both were attending Prada's fashion show and immediately fell in love, leading to their blooming romance.
Initially, SM Entertainment and C-JeS Studio stated they would investigate the accusations. Soon, the agencies released a follow-up statement.
C-JeS Studio was the first to confirm the news, stating they are in the stages of getting to know one another. The company asked the public to look upon them fondly and to respect their private lives, as Lee Jae Wook is currently filming his next release.
SM Entertainment followed suit, stating the two are getting to know each other with positive intentions.
Chinese MYs Send Protest Truck to SM Entertainment Asking aespa Karina to Apologize for Dating
While most were sympathetic that their dating news was released just a month into their relationship, people were mostly supportive of the duo's relationship.
However, this could not be said about all MYs.
Chinese fans recently sent a protest truck to SM Entertainment for aespa Karina. Specifically, they asked the female idol to apologize for betraying fans by dating despite how aespa's popularity is at its peak.
The truck had various messages for the idol. In order, these are what they say:
- "Karina, instead of feeling sorry for the fans, you should feel sorry for yourself for wasting all the efforts you have made during the past seven years."
- "You have ruined your own career with your actions. The dating news has ruined all the efforts you made until now. Are you happy?"
- "Karina, is the fans' love not enough for you? Why did you choose to betray your fans? Please apologize. If you don't, you will see album sales drop significantly and empty seats at your concert."
It is likely more messages slamming Karina were shared on the truck. As of writing, neither Karina nor SM Entertainment have released a statement on the matter.
