Following the release of Super Junior D&E's track list for their upcoming comeback, the group's lead single is drawing backlash for the lead single's controversial title.
On March 14, 2024, Super Junior D&E took to its social media accounts to share the tracklist for the duo's upcoming fifth mini-album, "606." Along with the tracklist came the reveal of the lead single, titled "GGB," which was written and composed by member Donghae.
Immediately after the tracklist was released, Korean netizens took to social media and community forums to air out their grievances towards the title.

That same day, a post titled "Super Junior D&E's new song's title is getting into a controversy among fans right now" was uploaded to a popular South Korean community forum.

People are debating whether having a title such as "GGB" is out of touch with the current political climate, or if they should wait for how Super Junior D&E spins "GGB" once the song is out.
Many ELFs (Super Junior fans) are hoping that "GGB" has a different meaning to it, because if it doesn't, it paints a bad image on an already rather controversial group. It was noted that Super Junior are big seniors in the industry and should be showing a good example to their juniors, but having such a negative song title goes against that.
It was also pointed out that the majority of Super Junior's fanbase consists of female fans. With this information in mind, having the title be a derogatory term is considered offensive to their fans.
