EXO Xiumin's 'Harsh But True' Advice to Aspiring Idols Gains Attention
In other news, netizens gathered in an online community on August 27, 2023, when they discussed Xiumin's upfront advice to trainees.
In the fifth episode of SM Entertainment's survival show "NCT Universe: LASTART," Xiumin appeared as a mentor who helped the trainees refine their performance stages.
The idol gained buzz online for not only guiding the trainees in their choreography, but also for leaving useful advice that can help them excel in a competitive industry like K-pop.
According to Xiumin, live singing is important and is a factor one must be prioritized over dance skills. The "Cream Soda" singer then added that no matter how much an idol is talented in other aspects performance-wise, they will look "talentless" if they have poor singing skills.
"To be honest, the less important thing here is dancing. The most important thing on the stage is singing," Xiumin remarked. "If you're not good at singing, you will look talentless no matter how good you are at dancing."
Here's how netizens reacted to Xiumin's advice:
- "They are undoubtedly singers, of course, singing is more important."
