Cube Entertainment debuted its newest K-pop boy group NOWADAYS on April 2, with their self-titled single album "NOWADAYS," and title track "OoWee."

The group is composed of five members namely Hyeonbin, Yoon, Yeonwoo, Jinhyuk, and Sihyun. The debut of NOWADAYS has been highly anticipated since October 2023, when Cube announced their a launching of a new boy group in 2024's first quarter.

However, the quintet managed to steal the spotlight on social media for their newest content.

On April 9, netizens gathered in an online thread, "Why Is Cube's Boy Group's Introduction Like That?" The author then uploaded screenshots of the NOWADAYS members introducing themselves in what appeared to be an "old-fashioned" way according to K-pop fans.

Translation: "I'm the leader of NOWADAYS, who is in charge of having a mentality of steel and the vocals, Hyeonbin."

Translation: "I'm in charge of the choreography and I'm the only 'I' in the group, Yeonwoo."

Translation: "I'm the MacGyver of Nowadays, the golden hand maknae rapper Sihyun."

Translation: "I'm in charge of the bamboo forest, the stone rapper, Jinhyuk"

Translation: "I'm in charge of being the mood maker and vocals, Yoon. Please treat me well."

Netizens were amused with the members' introduction and expressed how much it reminded them of SHINee back in the golden days of K-pop.
