Following their Coachella performance, LE SSERAFIM drew mixed reactions for their live vocals. Some even dubbed their stage as "worst" among K-pop acts.
LE SSERAFIM Performs At Coachella
On April 13, LE SSERAFIM graced the Sahara Stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the largest music festival in the United States.
Just a year and a half since their debut, LE SSERAFIM broke another record as the fastest Korean singer to enter the U.S. music festival and perform a solo stage.
Following BLACKPINK, the quintet became the second K-pop girl group to be included in the official Coachella lineup as well, and the first among 4th-gen girl groups.
With this feat, LE SSERAFIM ignited high anticipation on the large stage that day and surely, they didn't disappoint with their powerful stage presence and charisma on top of their top-tier dance skills.

For 40 minutes, they performed hit tracks such as "ANTIFRAGILE," "FEARLESS," "UNFORGIVEN," "Perfect Night," "EASY," and "SMART."
They also performed their unreleased English song for the first time, hinting at their upcoming comeback.
The venue was filled with cheers and claps, and LE SSERAFIM maintained the energy by also showing off their English skills.
LE SSERAFIM Disappoints With Live Vocals At Coachella
However, aside from their aspirations to deliver an unforgettable performance representing K-pop to FEARNOTs (fandom) and non-K-pop fans, LE SSERAFIM was unfortunately remembered for another reason — and that was due to their "bad" live vocals.
Those who watched the live broadcast through Coachella's official streaming channel weren't impressed, pointing out that their live skills were not enough to fill such a large stage.
People are blaming HYBE for accepting the invitation from Coachella when the group isn't ready for such a crowd yet, not to mention that they were just recently criticized for their singing skills when they had their music show's encore.
how did le sserafim even debut with their vocals being this unstable.. like ik those hybe execs are PISSED 😭😭 just a mess omfg…… pic.twitter.com/UQ76xFYKGR

it’s insane to me that some of yall are really praising le sserafim vocals right now, saying they’re proving people wrong. i love their music but this is not good, stop lying about shit just cause you like these groups 😭

Just when the eyes of music fans were still focused on them, they failed to satisfy people with their "unstable" singing, although Coachella was supposed to be a festival where the taste of LIVE performance is expected to be maximized.
As a result, fans are comparing them to BLACKPINK, 2NE1, and aespa, which were K-pop girl groups that were able to perform on the Coachella stage earlier than the quintet
Among them, LE SSERAFIM's stage was dubbed as the "WORST," embarrassing fans that they represented K-pop with their "poor" live skills.
it’s not 100% clean but this is the best i could get for an mr removed for le sserafim coachella performance of the great mermaid . On the flip side, FEARNOTs (fandom) still defended the group, emphasizing that it should be taken into account that while singing, they also showed off powerful choreography and were able to prove their label as "Performance Powerhouses."
