Min Hee Jin Denies HYBE's Claim She Tried to Seize Management Rights of ADOR: 'It Is Impossible'

The plot thickens, as ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, during her exclusive interview with Daily Sports, refuted HYBE's claim that she attempted to take over the label's management rights by meeting with "secret" investors and plotting with other executives.

On this day, the CEO calmly yet firmly disproved the accusations surrounding her, especially the allegation that she met with investors without HYBE's knowledge to take full management rights from HYBE.

Min said:

"I have never met with any investor to take the management rights of the company."

She insisted that it was impossible, adding:

"I have never tried to seize management rights of ADOR as claimed by HYBE. How can I take over management rights with the 18 percent stake that I own?

In the first place, it is impossible for me to take over the management rights of ADOR because HYBE owns its 80% stake. Without consent, it is impossible for ADOR to become independent from HYBE. It is hard to understand HYBE's claim that I tried to do something impossible."

In the same interview, Min Hee Jin claimed that HYBE's intention was to counterattack her after she initially filed an internal complaint after raising concerns about ILLIT (Belift Lab girl group) copying NewJeans.

Min furthered that she was framed by HYBE and once again refuted claims she tried to take control of ADOR. She especially showed concern for NewJeans, her sole artist, as they are set to have a May comeback on top of their schedules in Japan.

"I'm surprised that HYBE did this at a really important time for our team NewJeans. This happened while waiting for HYBE's answer four days after I raised the objection. I wonder if there are cases where an external article is published at the same time as the audit notification, rather than the announcement of the audit results.

What should have been the intention of such an urgent article with an absurd content that has nothing to do with what I raised the issue?"

Min continued:

"Before announcing my position, I thought a lot about it out of fear that it would interfere with the release of NewJeans that we had painstakingly created. But if I'm not going to make any position, I'm not sure what kind of attack will come and what kind of suspicions will become serious, so I mention it to the minimum."

ADOR's CEO then criticized HYBE:

"HYBE doesn't seem to have any consideration of the condition or schedule of its artist. I don't want to dilute its essence with unnecessary public opinion battles. We have an important schedule coming up, so we are carefully considering how best to conduct ourselves."
