While there are mixed reactions about THIS song, former MOMOLAND Daisy gave her opinion about it being the best release in the past 8 years.
On May 14, the third-gen K-pop idol took to her personal X account to share her views regarding aespa's latest comeback track!
Earlier on the 13th, the quartet dropped "Supernova," one of the double title tracks from their first studio album, "Armageddon" set to be released on May 27.
When it was released, it drew divided opinions from music fans. While some find it good, there are fans who were also unimpressed, calling it "bland."
Just then, Daisy joined the debate and claimed:
"'Supernova' is arguably the best thing that came out of K-pop since the past 8 years."
This post immediately went viral with over 622k views and 13.3k likes, sparking a debate among K-pop enthusiasts.
In particular, this is a huge validation for the junior group, given that Daisy used to be a part of one of the most popular girl groups MOMOLAND. During their heyday, they released multiple hits including "Bboom Bboom," and "BAAM" which were loved all over the world.
While a lot of K-pop fans agreed with her sentiments, there are some who refuted this and disagreed with her.
But showing the "queen" she is, Daisy replied:
"I said arguably but I will not be arguing with anyone."
Here are some reactions to Daisy's post:
Meanwhile, Daisy made her name known after she debuted as MOMOLAND in 2017. Unfortunately, she revealed that she was fired in 2020 after a 1-year hiatus starting in 2019 for an unknown reason after her dating news.
After leaving the group, she has been active on TikTok and X, doing videos about her experience and the reality of being in the entertainment scene.
