To measure the popularity of K-pop acts, the Korean Business Research Institute officially announced its brand reputation rankings involving K-pop girl groups who made the most buzz in May.
According to sources, the organization managed to gather data from April 12 to May 12. The results were then determined by analyzing popularity-related factors such as the participation of consumers, coverage from the media, and overall engagement.
Here are the 15 most popular K-pop girl groups in May 2024!
1. IVE
IVE received a brand reputation index of 8,326,214 this May, earning them the No. 1 spot.
2. ILLIT
ILLIT followed in No. 2, where they placed with a brand reputation index of 5,877,206.
3. (G)I-DLE
In No. 3, (G)I-DLE trailed with a brand reputation index of 2,869,835 for the month of May.
4. LE SSERAFIM
LE SSERAFIM gained a brand reputation index of 4,244,658, earning them fourth place.
5. BABYMONSTER
BABYMONSTER completed the top five with a brand reputation index of 4,085,140.
6. TWICE
The list also included third-gen leader TWICE, who received a brand reputation index of 3,584,840, and claimed No. 6.
7. aespa
aespa took No. 7 with a brand reputation index of 3,160,522, since the girl group is making buzz for their newest song "Supernova" and upcoming track "Armageddon."
8. BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK claimed No. 8 with a brand reputation index of 3,061,038.
9. Apink
Apink earned No. 9 with a brand reputation index of 2,803.786.
10. OH MY GIRL
OH MY GIRL received an index of 2,054,619 for May.
11. Girls' Generation
Girls' Generation placed No. 11 with an index of 2,038,411.
12. Red Velvet
Red Velvet gathered a brand reputation index of 1,400,718, earning them No. 12.
13. NMIXX
With a brand reputation index of 1,332,007, NMIXX claimed No. 13.
14. H1-KEY
H1-KEY gained a brand reputation index of 1,110,486.
15. MAMAMOO
Lastly, MAMAMOO placed No. 15 with an index of 966,841.
